Soon-To-Be-Walker

As many of you know, I have yet to walk on my own yet. I love walking while holding onto people or things, but letting go has been a big deal for me. Check out this video of me from last night. I was loving walking to daddy from the coffee table!

July 4th Recap

My 4th of July was a week long trip back to North Dakota. We started out at Grandma Mary Ann and Grandpa Scott's house. Then Grandma Deb and Grandpa Scott came back from Montana. I got to see TONS of family this past week. As always, Auntie Heather had her camera so Mommy didn't take many pictures. One of the highlights of this past week is Stella is HOME! She came back from staying at grandma and grandpa's in Montana and she now lives with me again! I get to go for more walks now because she needs her exercise. I like having her around and she seems to think I'm ok too. This house is really filling up fast and rumor has it it's not stopping with Stella!

Cousin Jacob and I with our grandpas

Don't be surprised if we have a hammock in our backyard soon!

Look at what perfect travelers we are!

Stella chews on this so why can't I????

Check back later to see pictures that Auntie Heather took. She always gets some great ones!

A House Full of Friends

Mommy has some good friends from college that came to visit us. Three of them have had babies, so they got to come play too. I know mommy and her friends had a great time. I wasn't so sure about all the commotion..... guess I'm a little sheltered. Mommy says we're going to have to work on that! Here are some pictures of the time we all spent together.
I told you I wasn't the happiest camper!

Anderson and his mommy, Mandie

Lily and her mommy, Megan

Sylvia and her mommy, Jenny

Mommy had 2 other friends come too, but didn't get any pictures of them (so sad). Katie is having a baby around the time my brother gets here and Sara doesn't have any babies yet, but she was my favorite (sorry girls!) Mommy really wishes she would have gotten some video of me flirting with her!

Swimming

WOW was it HOT today! I spent some time in my little pool on the deck. Mommy filled it up and let it warm up a little while I was napping. I was most interested in throwing my ball and toys over the edge and then going to get them. I also thought the bubbles Mommy was blowing were pretty cool. I liked when they landed on the water and I got to pop them!

"Let me out there!"

Taking a time out to say "HI" to the bear on the towel.

"BUBBLES!"

CURLS!

It's starting to look like I might have Mommy's hair after all. I guess all it takes is a little humidity to give me lots of curls. I have always had a little wave in the back, but as of a few days ago, I have a little poof ball head (especially in the back)! Looks like Mommy might have to start sharing her gel!

Showing Some Interest

I'm beginning to show some interest in walking! Up until a couple weeks ago, whenever someone tried to put me on my feet I immediately curled my legs up to sit down. I wanted absolutely nothing to do with walking. Now, I would rather stand and walk around holding onto some one's hands. I use my push toys the right way now. I push them instead of climbing up on them. I'm also getting tired of crawling. I've started to bear walk now on my hands and feet. Everyone seems to think this looks pretty funny but it doesn't hurt my knees as much!

Warning--the wheels are a little squeaky so turn down your volume!

Here is my infamous bear walk. I have quite the vocal cords as you can hear. No one seems to understand me much but that doesn't slow (or quiet) me down!

Monkey!

I have turned into quite the little monkey these days. Mommy swears she's even heard me say the word "monkey" during one of my babbling sessions. I love, love, love to climb anything and everything. The stairs are fun to climb, but everyone does that so I've moved on to other things. Anyone on the floor is fair game to climb over. And when the patio door is open, you better believe I will crawl in and out (about 100 times) going up and down the little step onto the deck. Mommy likes when I entertain myself this way because it means she gets to sit in the sun a little! I also love climbing on my toys. Check out this video of me climbing where I shouldn't be. Notice how fast it stops..........that's because I'm about to do a nose dive. I did in fact hit the ground, nose first, this time. I was upset for about a minute and then I climbed right back up again!! I'll learn my lesson one of these days.
