I LOVE CAKE!!!

I celebrated my first birthday on Saturday (a couple days early). I loved all the yummy food! I eat A LOT these days. Mommy and Daddy can't cut up my food fast enough! I got my very own cake. Everyone else had to share--haha!! Here is some video of me digging into it. Thanks to Great Auntie Kay (who you'll hear in the video) for taking all the fun videos and over 500 pictures. I'll get some more pictures up later. I'm off to an art show for the afternoon.

Wish I Could Play Outside

I love looking out the back doors and watching the weather. In the past few days I have watched rain, snow, and the trees swaying in the wind. I am looking forward to the day I get to play on the deck. It doesn't sound like that day is coming any time soon! Before I play out there, Mommy and Daddy have some cleaning up to do (as you may have noticed!) There are some really big nails and an extra downspout laying around. It's going to be even longer before I get my own grass to play in. I think the mud would be more fun, but Mommy and Daddy think differently.

All in a Days Time

Grown ups aren't kidding when they say we change everyday. Yesterday was a dark, rainy day so Mommy and I had a pj day. We stayed inside and played all day long. While we were playing I learned how to do "so big." When Daddy got home I learned another trick. I learned how to push my little block car and take steps behind it. This last one must have been a big deal because Mommy and Daddy were very excited!

Lil Sioux Hockey Fan

This past weekend, Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Mark came to stay with us. We all went to the Final Five hockey tournament. I loved taking in all the action. I paid close attention to the players on the ice. I was taking notes for next year when I get to try skating for the first time.

When I got tired of watching the Sioux losing, I turned to entertain those around us. I was beyond tired at this point because I watched a game earlier that day and went to dinner in between games. There was no time for a nap and I was NOT going to miss any of the action by sleeping at the game.

This is the face I made to anyone who would look at me. They would laugh and I would laugh right back. I continued to do this as long as anyone would watch me. I think I was kind of a distraction, but who wants to watch the Sioux lose anyways!?!?!?

Busy Body

I have been too busy to blog lately. I am cruising everywhere and am into everything. Some of my favorite things to go after are the cupboards, drawers, shoes, vacuum, mop, bathroom garbage, my humidifier, and pretty much anything else Mommy and Daddy want me to stay away from! Much to my disliking, they have done a good job locking me out of these places. I still get to play in the tupperware cupboard though. I get bored with it until Mommy puts it all away, then I love to pull it all back out again. Here is a video and some pictures of me making a mess!

Mommy and Daddy also put up this gate to keep me from wandering into the bathroom, den or up the stairs. So far, I think it's kinda fun!

Have I told you how much I LOVE the bath???? I love it so much, I do a happy dance before I get in! Here it is...............

What Happened to February??????

WOW! I can't believe it's March! I didn't even blog once in February (must be because it's a short month!). Anyways, this has been a busy month. Here are some of the milestones from this past month.

1. I CAN CRAWL! It started with an army/worm type crawl that evolved into full fledged crawling! Here is a video of my skills.

2. I am loving my new house! There is so much room for me to crawl around. One of my favorite things to do is bang toys on the hard wood floors. Daddy says they are going to have to be refinished sooner than he thought--oops. I tell him just wait for Stella to get her claws on them!

PS: The garage doors will be painted this spring to match the front door.

3. I eat anything and EVERYTHING! Sometimes I get mad if Mommy or Daddy try help me. I want to do it by myself. I have also mastered the sippy cup!

4. I had 4 nights of poop-splosions in a row! This was a first and Mommy and Daddy are hoping a LAST! Not so sure why they say it wasn't fun, everyone was laughing pretty hard, including me. AND I got early baths each night, bonus!

5. I am really proud of myself and I show this by clapping for myself. All it takes is for someone to say "Yay, Kaden!" "Way to go, Kaden" or "Patty cake" and I smile and clap!

6. I am going to be a BIG BROTHER! I have actually known this for awhile, but Mommy and Daddy said I can finally tell people. I wasn't too excited at first (as you can see in this picture), but everyone else sure is, so I'm working on it!
