Hooray for Company!

I just love having people come to my house. Some of my recent visitors have been my friends Lily and Sylvia. Lily and her parents came to stay with us for a weekend and Sylvia came over to play while they were here. We had a lot of fun together and I can't wait for them to come back SOON!

My most recent visitors were Grandma Mary Ann, Great Grandma Eleanor and Great Grandpa Serge. I was very excited for these extra special visitors! Not only did they come visit, but Auntie Ann, Uncle Tom and cousins Paul and Ellie came over too. It was like a fiesta at my house (complete with tacos)!

Thanks for coming to see me! Anyone else want to come visit? Everyone is ALWAYS welcome at my house.

1 Year Photo Shoot

My Auntie Heather took my one year photos when I went to Montana for Easter. Mommy and Daddy were so shocked at how many great pictures she got because my attitude was NOT so great. I really do love my Auntie Heather, but not her big camera and bright lights! Thank you Heather for making Mommy and Daddy so happy with these great pictures and for catching some of my silly faces that I make so often!!

New Ride

Daddy and I spent some time putting together a new ride for me yesterday. Last year for Father's Day I got Daddy a cart to pull me in behind his bike. I was too small to ride in it last year, but this year I'm the perfect size! We had fun putting it together in the house. I inspected it all to make sure Daddy knew what he was doing. I am happy to report it was a success! I even got to try it out going up and down the block a couple times. It was too cold to go for a longer ride, but I know it's going to get a lot of use and be a lot of fun. There's even room for my little brother to ride with me when he gets big enough, but for right now IT'S ALL MINE!!!!!!

All By Myself

Since I've turned one, I am starting to do more and more on my own (except walking).

Here I am picking up after myself (with the help of grandma) at Great Grandma and Grandpa Gambucci's house.

Here I am brushing my teeth. I like this toothbrush better than the rubber one Mommy has been putting on her finger to brush my teeth. This way I get to do it ALL BY MYSELF! Notice I even got the "brushing" motion down!

Here I am feeding myself with a spoon. After a long time of flinging the food off before it got to my mouth, here I am actually doing it.

Here I am crawling up the stairs. I've been doing this for awhile, but Mommy has just never taped it. This is one of my favorite things to do. Every time we head upstairs I reach towards the stairs until I get put down to do it myself. I still have the occasional tumble, but someone is always right there to help me out. Now, I just have to work on coming down. I haven't quite figured out how to turn around to do that slide down thing.

Flashbacks

Everyone seems to be having a hard time believing that I am a year old. Let me refresh your memory with some videos of me throughout this past year.

Here I am as a newborn with the hiccups.

This is me at 3 months. I wish my hands were still this entertaining!

At 6 months I had a really high pitch voice!

I learned how to shake my head around 9 months.

I am Mr. Personality at 1 year old!

1st Trip to Montana

My first trip out to Montana to see Grandma Deb, Grandpa Scott, and Auntie Heather was a success. I was a champ on the plane (well.....on the way out there at least). I didn't sleep a wink. There was just too much going on and I can't miss out on a second. Here is some video of me seeing the mountains for the first time from the air.

There was a lot to do and take in at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I got to see my puppy Stella who is going to come live with us again very soon. I also met more puppies, kittens and horses. One of my favorite things to do was stand at the back door and stare Stella and Kota in the face! Some other highlights were having my 1 year pictures taken by my photographer auntie at her studio, dyeing Easter eggs, going on an Easter egg hunt, getting my first haircut (NOT FUN!) which needed a follow-up cut when we got home, and sitting out on the deck enjoying the beautiful scenery and weather. Here are a bunch of pictures that sum up my trip. Check back later for my 1 year photos. Mommy still needs to decide which ones she wants!

One of my last crazy hair days before Susan trimmed my bangs. As you can see I wasn't very happy about it! Because I didn't sit still, I needed a follow-up cut when we got home. Well.....I'm sad to report I wasn't any better the second time around.

More Birthday Fun!

Sorry I had to cut my last post short. Here are some more pictures from my 1st Birthday party. My party started with me eating some BBQ meatballs, tortellini pesto pasta, and veggie pizza. Mommy cut me off before I was done so I would have room for my cake. Then I opened presents, which people were asked NOT to bring because I didn't really need anything. My friends and family were very generous and I loved all the great gifts. Thank you all so much! After that, it was time for me to entertain everyone with my cake eating skills. I heard many people saying "He's going to get a tummy ache!" but that didn't slow me down. (I did enjoy a sugar high for about 3 hours later that night though and got to stay up 3 hours past my bedtime.) When I was done with cake I had it EVERYWHERE so it was easiest to clean me off in the sink. I wasn't too sure about this! But once I was cleaned off, I was back in party mode as I rode my new bike around the house. Before I got my hands on the cake....and the damage I caused!!!

All in all, this was my BEST party yet and I'm loving being ONE!
