We realize the daddy message from below might take some explaining. So here it is before we start getting questioned.
Daddy was headed to Iowa yesterday for work when he drove into a total white-out. He came up on a semi that had been in an accident and was blocking both lanes of the interstate. Luckily he was driving slow enough that he was able to avoid the semi by driving into the ditch. As he was sitting in the ditch he heard and saw many more (around 40 according to an article mommy found) cars crashing into that semi and each other. He quickly ran out of his car and some nice people picked him up and brought him to a gas station. A police man then came and brought him to a hotel. We now know that his car was hit in the ditch, but don't know how bad yet. Daddy is working on getting a rental to drive out to the towing company.
In all this mess, we have found so much to be thankful for:
*Thankful that Daddy was driving slow enough to avoid the semi.
*Thankful that he went into the ditch in a controlled manner.
*Thankful that he got out of his car before it was hit.
*Thankful for the nice man and daughter that picked him up and got him away from the scene before it got worse.
*Thankful he got a hotel room before they all filled up so he didn't have to sleep on a cot at the Ceder Lake City Hall.
*Thankful we will get to see Daddy very soon, whether it's today or tomorrow.
*SO THANKFUL we have a loving and protecting God that kept Daddy safe!
